Self made agenda/calendar with M$ Excel

Preamble
I'm using the French version of Excel so the terminologies aren't the same, sorry for this. For example here, AUJOURD'HUI instead of TODAY in english, CHOISIR instead of CHOOSE, JOURSEM instead of WEEKDAY, etc...

Make a agenda/calendar with Excel
Fill in the second cell, B1 with the first day of the current month e.g.,
Cell B1: 01/08/2011
note. you could also start with the current day "=AUJOURDHUI()".

Change the cell format and eventually choose another date display type e.g.,
right click on B column > Format de Cellule > premier onglet Nombre
Catégorie : Date
Type : 14 mars 1998

Then copy (=B1+1) that cell down until you reach the end of the year. Eventually double click on the B column edge to adjust its size.

Add the day of week in the A colum, just before the date,
=CHOISIR(JOURSEM(B1;2);"Lundi";"Mardi";"Mercredi";"Jeudi";"Vendredi";"Samedi";"Dimanche")
Note. "JOURSEM" with mode 2 for Lundi (Monday) to be the first day of the week.

Right align the A column and left align the B colum with a retreat on the left,
right click on B colum > Format de Cellule > onglet Alignement
Retrait : 1

Make sure your paper size is A4 (Europe) and switch to Landscape mode,
Fichier > Mise en page
Orientation : Paysage
Format du papier : A4

You can now print month by month by selecting the according dates... and fold each piece of A4 paper in two so you get the equivalent of an A5 paper format, with a month in the front and some free space in the back.
