EFI usage 

 

 

EFI configuration 

Get to the EFI Shell and setup Serial as primary console, 

conconfig
conconfig 1 primary
exit

Note. otherwise through the menus, 

#Boot Configuration > Console Configuration
#Select "Serial Acpi..." > Press "P" (for Primary)
#Select "VGA Acpi..." > Press "S" (for Secondary)
#Press ESC once and confirm

 

Configure autoboot, 

#System Configuration > Set System Defaults and confirm
Boot Configuration > AutoBoot configuration > Set AutoBoot Timeout : 2
Boot Configuration > AutoBoot configuration > AutoBoot Retry Configuration : 5

 

Show the device map,

Hardware RAID 

Enter drive setup utility (LSI Logic MPT Setup Utility), 

drvcfg
drivers
devices
drvcfg -s DriverHandle DeviceHandle

note. if you even need to define a child device, 

#devtree
#drvcfg -s DriverHandle DeviceHandle ChildHandle

locate the disks and their serial numbers (enable/disable leds),

configure RAID volumes,
