This is a DECSystem 5000/240. We've got this firmware version, 

KN03-AA V5.2b

 

Note. you should be able to connect a standard external SCSI CD player and/or writer. 

 

Note. if your power supply is broken you can even use a standard PC one, the connectors are the same ! (harddrive rack pictured, without the original power supply) 

 

Firmware usage 

Ask for help, 

?

 

Look for devices, 

cnfg

and see what's connected to some SCSI controller device, 

cnfg 0

 

Initialize the firmware, 

init

 

 

Ultrix 

To boot the Ultrix installation CD, 

boot 0/rz4/vmunix

 

To boot the system, 

boot 0/rz0/vmunix

Note. -a for autoboot
